We are presently seeking a Finance Coordinator for our Edmonton branch. The Finance Coordinator is responsible for general accounting and project controls administrative duties.
Responsibilities
  • Generate POs, receive and process with corresponding invoices through various platforms;
  • Review and reconcile vendor account statements, identification and resolution of issues;
  • Maintain supplier management, responding to queries, resolving AP payment issues;
  • Utilize Business Object reporting and display ability to learn to create new reports;
  • Maintain data integrity within payroll and billing platform;
  • Perform weekly payroll reconciliations and uploads;
  • Prepare, compile and verify billing documents to be sent to internal CSR;
  • Work with project controls on internal rate sheet management;
  • Support finance with cost control reporting when required.
 Qualifications
  • 3-5 years related administrative/accounting experience;
  • Construction industry exposure/experience and project controls experience is preferred;
  • Post-secondary education in business administration/accounting an asset;
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel with experience with pivot tables, lookups and general formulas;
  • Previous experience with billing, accounting and payroll systems is preferred;
  • Previous experience using Business Object to create reports;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong time management and organization skills in order to meet various competing deadlines;
  • Ability to work within a team and build a positive team environment;
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment with competing demands;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Display sound and accurate judgment, with the ability to resolve problems in a timely manner;
  • The location is not accessible by public transportation.
